The manager of Prosthetics & Orthotics (P&O) is responsible for general oversight of the P&O department. Within the P&O department, responsibilities include personnel management, including maintenance of HR files and regulatory compliance, fiscal management of human and material resources, preparation of annual budget, and oversight of the P&O performance improvement program. Manager also has direct patient care responsibilities and is accountable to maintain the clinical competencies of P&O staff. Has involvement in marketing and program development for P&O.

Salary range: 112,900-256,900 annual

Job Qualifications
Qualifications
  • Certified Prosthetist/Orthotist (CPO)
  • Basic Life Support Certified
  • Ability to develop and maintain cooperative working relationships with physicians, staff, patients, and the public
  • Skills in interviewing, training, counseling, evaluating and disciplining staff
  • Analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Flexibility & adaptability to change
  • Knowledge of certification and regulatory requirements
  • Basic computer skills: E-mail, Word, EMPAC, MCCS, etc.
  • Basic knowledge of budget process
