Quality Assurance Lead

Description:

• Assists in managing the department in the absence of the supervisor and/or manager
• Lead the Quality Department Associates that support the production operations
• Audits manufacturing and reviews manufacturing documentation
• Sustain the work areas as safe, clean, organized in compliance with all SOPs, cGMP, and safety rules and regulations
• Performs sampling, inspection, documentation review, physical testing and holding/rejecting of product as required
• Assist in projects related to validations and qualifications of products and equipment
• Perform trace and recall exercises
• Support in Certification and Customer Audits
• Support in investigations and CAPA related to NCR’s and Holds
• Complies with company policies and procedures and maintains regular work attendance
• Personal responsibility for following safety rules, SOPs and cGMPs guidelines

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science degree
• 3+ years working in QA for a food or nutraceutical or dietary supplement company
• Computer literate
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
