Job Duties: Performs work in a timely manner with consistent high quality. The majority of work the Technician will perform will be as a lone site worker. Must be able to perform physical tasks as required at the site (i.e. sweeping, clean up, equipment, supplies). Technician will be collecting compliance samples for laboratory analysis. As fines can be associated with non-compliance, strict sample collection procedures must always be followed. Technician is responsible for keeping clean all equipment and for maintaining equipment in good working order. Technician will be required to properly maintain daily field logs. These logs may include, but are not limited to, truck maintenance check lists, safety forms, calibration logs, and field data collection forms. Organization and good penmanship is critical for communication. O&M Techs are responsible for adhering to and addressing all safety program requirements. Must be able to properly evaluate the site safety requirements, complete all required forms, and take action as appropriate to maintain a safe working environment at the job sites. Technician will be provided all safety gear and equipment necessary, this equipment must be maintained and inventoried. Technician will be audited for safety compliance and has a requirement for reporting near-misses and unsafe conditions to their supervisor. Weekly O&M Visits: •Inspections of equipment (air compressor, water pumps, valves, etc.) to ensure proper operation and determine routing maintenance needs •Measurement of vapor concentrations with an appropriate field instrument •Technician is responsible for maintaining, calibrating, and cleaning field equipment •Inspection of each injection wellhead may require bending and use of hand tools •Record equipment operational parameters (flow rate, run time, vaccum, etc.) on field forms •Adjust extraction wells as required to maximize operational efficiency •Cleaning of the treatment compounds as required and weed control Monthly O&M Visits (include all weekly requirements plus the following): •Collection of system combined influent vapor samples for laboratory analyses •Collection of system effluent vapor samples for laboratory analyses •Routine wellhead maintenance as necessary Quarterly O&M Visits (include all weekly/monthly requirements plus the following): •Collection of vapor samples from all vapor extraction wells for laboratory analyses •Collection of discharge permit compliance samples from groundwater treatment systems for laboratory analysis
