Summary

Under general supervision, the scope of this position is responsible for monitoring product quality through testing and observation. Additionally, this position consists of the operation of moderately complex semi-automated equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Under general supervision, the scope of this position is responsible for monitoring product quality through testing and observation
  • Additionally, this position consists of the operation of moderately complex semi-automated equipment
  • Responsible for running moderately complex in-process, stability/calibration, final release, reagent release and experimental devices
  • Notifies appropriate personnel of results and completing all associated documentation
  • Cross-trains on all process including in-process, stability, calibration, final release and chemistries release
  • Trains new junior staff on appropriate processes and equipment
  • May act as Lead Quality Control Technician’s backup
  • Responsible for supervising in-process, chemistries, release, calibration, and experimental devices
  • Operates laboratory equipment safely, as trained and directed, in accordance with established practices
  • Responsible for inventory accuracy of all testing related materials
  • Demonstrates commitment to the development, implementation and effectiveness of the company's Quality Management System per ISO, FDA, and other regulatory agencies

Qualifications

  • High School degree or equivalent required
  • Four to six years of related experience
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Suite; strong knowledge of Excel
  • Ability to read, interpret and follow detailed procedures, instructions and drawings
  • Chemistry and laboratory skills, GLP/GMP experience required
  • Demonstrated team oriented interaction skills/professional behavior
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Must understand traceability (product, material, and calibration)

  • Intermediate Level
