Under general supervision, the scope of this position is responsible for monitoring product quality through testing and observation. Additionally, this position consists of the operation of moderately complex semi-automated equipment.

Responsibilities

Under general supervision, the scope of this position is responsible for monitoring product quality through testing and observation

Additionally, this position consists of the operation of moderately complex semi-automated equipment

Responsible for running moderately complex in-process, stability/calibration, final release, reagent release and experimental devices

Notifies appropriate personnel of results and completing all associated documentation

Cross-trains on all process including in-process, stability, calibration, final release and chemistries release

Trains new junior staff on appropriate processes and equipment

May act as Lead Quality Control Technician’s backup

Responsible for supervising in-process, chemistries, release, calibration, and experimental devices

Operates laboratory equipment safely, as trained and directed, in accordance with established practices

Responsible for inventory accuracy of all testing related materials

Demonstrates commitment to the development, implementation and effectiveness of Quidel Quality Management System per ISO, FDA, and other regulatory agencies

Skills:

Biology, Chemistry, Quality control, Gmp, Qc testing, Laboratory, pipetting

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Qualifications

High School degree or equivalent required

Four to six years of related experience

Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Suite; strong knowledge of Excel

Ability to read, interpret and follow detailed procedures, instructions and drawings

Chemistry and laboratory skills, GLP/GMP experience required

Demonstrated team oriented interaction skills/professional behavior

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Must understand traceability (product, material, and calibration)
