Identity and Access Management - IT Security Administrator

Primary Purpose:

Perform various IT Security related functions including, creating, maintaining, and removing user access to various systems. Working with established policies and procedures, this position ensures appropriate access to applications enterprise wide. Emphasis is placed on provisioning with role-based access (RBAC) while maintaining compliance various audit requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Performs user administration, managing user account access for joiners, movers and leavers

• Create and manage users in Active Directory security for local, group and user accounts within Active Directory and other Identity Stores.

• Ensure compliance and adherence with Information Security controls and standards

• Act as an escalation point for access problems not resolved by the IT Support Desk

Qualifications and Experience:

• Experience and working knowledge of IAM (Identity and Access Management) principals

• Working knowledge of Active Directory User Accounts, Organization Units, Group Membership, and Nested Groups

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Exchange and Exchange Online

• Working knowledge of Role Based Access Control (RBAC) methodology

Desired Skills:

• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills

• Ability to exercise independent judgment to identify and resolve problems

• Ability to work effectively independently and in a team environment

• Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy

• Strong Excel skills

• PowerShell scripting

• Experience with an Identity Governance and Administration tool

Must have:

Strong provisioning (usually from enterprise)

And AD versus someone who truly understands just provisioning

Few years experience would be great

Powershell – just know modules, don’t need to write the scripts

IGA tools – preferred not required

90% work with Remedy ticketing systems or any ticketing system

300-500 IAM requests que at any given time

Now higher than 1300

Modules, smart IT

Service requests can take 5 mins to 45 mins +

Base rule of thumb 10 tickets a day say 5 harder ones and 5 easy ones

Contractors no on call / employees yes every 11 weeks rotation

Experience Level:

Intermediate Level
