Responsibilities: Plan, support and conduct vehicle tests as required. Track status and create reports for corrective action; report to supervisor/manager and engineering; conduct final Sign-Off of every program against VTS targets. Identify concerns, drive solutions and negotiate/execute contingency plans; Support engineering design groups, certification, safety, and vehicle integration groups. Work with Complete Vehicle team to support the vehicle packaging development. Maintain and update test vehicle integrated parts to maturation. Create Purchase Requisitions and other engineering administrative tasks as required to support vehicle testing activity. Work closely with plant personals and support build issues as required. Work involves accuracy, timeliness and the ability to work within the established policies and practices. Plans and coordinates required cross-functional meetings to create test plans and review progress on individual test projects. Flexibility to work on critical projects in off standard hours as required. Develop and Perform special test procedures as needed. Suggest, develop and implement continuous improvement ideas. Ascertain best practices for test planning and implement within the team. Comply with established corporate and purchasing policy and processes Attends departmental training, company meetings and HR training awareness sessions. Communicates frequently with internal and external contacts on various issues. Performs other duties as necessary.

Qualifications: BS degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Automotive Engineering, or equivalent; 5 + years of experience with vehicle level testing and development; 5 + years of automotive experience (OEM or Tier 1); Minimum of 3 years of professional experience for on-road automotive applications; Working knowledge of relevant standards (SAE, ASME, and ISO); Knowledge of a Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software; Strong data analysis skills to evaluate vehicle and system performance; Time management skills; Must be able to accept personal responsibility and accountability for major analytical and planning assignments. Excellent oral and written communication skills; Strong knowledge of automobile design and performance characteristics; Broad experience working in cross-functional teams and ability to influence design based on test results; Communicates directly with management and cross-functional leaders as required; Strong teamwork skills. Able to develop consensus and move the program forward. Develop win-win situations.
