Principle Accountabilities: *Performs visual inspection of electronic card and sub-assemblies, and systems or units to ensure that all product meets the established specifications for reliability and workmanship. *Utilizes gages, templates, microscopes and other manufacturing aids to ensure that all product meets the established specifications for reliability and workmanship. *Ensures that all required process operations have been performed on the product that is being inspected. *Enters all quality data into the appropriate electronic or manual systems. *Notifies the appropriate personnel if unusual product defects are identified or if process yields fall below acceptable levels. *Provides timely feedback to manufacturing if non-conforming product is identified. *Accurately completes all administrative activities associated with quality inspection. *Performs process audits and assists manufacturing with the interpretation of the quality and workmanship standards. *Assists with the disposition of all non-conforming materials/product. Skills: *Demonstrates functional skills. *Demonstrates basic functional process knowledge and participates in process. *Has awareness of Flex techniques. *Typically requires an understanding of inspection techniques. *Use of the following tools may be required: Electronic Assembly: color code, component, schematics, touch-up, commercial soldering, mechanical assembly, surface mount assembly, point to point wiring; Inspection: bare board, loaded, components, cable/harness, microscope, measuring tools; Mechanical & Electrical Tools: measuring tools; Office Skills: data entry, spreadsheet, manufacturing systems software. *Able to read and comprehend moderately complex instructions. *Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees, leads and supervisors of the organization. *Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. *Ability to perform these operations using weight measurement and distance. *Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. *Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
