Preps/Cooks do batching, blending, and mixing of raw materials. They are measuring raw material and reading scales for measurements. All recipes are written in English. There is powder mix on pallets on the ground so it can get wet, sticky, and slippery but overall, it’s a very clean kitchen. Pour raw materials into the kettles. Heavy lifting 50-75-pound bags of raw ingredients. (Preps-lights or heavies/Cooks-heavies)
Catchers are repetitively standing, bending over, and lifting. They are lifting baskets that are catching the gummies that are coming off the mold machine and putting the basket onto a rack. They are then manually coating the gummies in tapioca starch and putting the gummies into a tumbler. They are then again catching the gummies coming out of the tumbler machine into baskets. Then the put the baskets onto the roller cart to be pushed into the dehydration room. (lights)
Ready to Eat is where they have packing machines, labeling machines, lids machines, sealing machines, and metal detectors. This is where gummies get packaged by hand and by machines. Counters count the gummies and they get weighed. There is always going to be an Operator in charge of this room. These people are on their feet all day. (lights)
Job duties: packing, counting, cleaning, dumping bins into machines, quality check on labels, seals, etc. Prep boxes to go to the warehouse.
In this role candidates must be able to stand, kneel, lift, and squat for their entire shift. They will be on their feet all day.
