- These people need to have a high attention to detail and initiative because some orders will require smaller volume from a package as opposed to the full package. - If they cannot find a product in the section where it is supposed to be they need to have the initiative to look around just in case it is located on the wrong rack. - This individual will be given a pick ticket and need to go around operating an electric pallet jack or cherry picker to pick orders (product can range in weight and volume). - Once they have picked all the product they will need to go to the scanning area and use the RF scanner to scan all product. (If the scanner isn't working, they will need to enter the product code manually using excel). - Candidates will be responsible for manually loading and offloading product from incoming/outgoing trailers. - Load and unload delivery trucks requiring physical moving and lifting of product. - Perform periodic facilities maintenance and/or custodial / housekeeping tasks, such as cleaning loading dock and area surrounding building; keeping floors clear of debris, maintaining bathrooms and assisting in daily closing down of warehouse. - Safety is extremely important to them because the pales of paint can range from 30-50lbs and will be using the order pickers to receive and put product away.
