Material Coordinator

Description:

• Schedules and coordinates flow of work within or between departments of manufacturing plant to expedite production • Receives product from vendors deliveries and unload trucks at the loading docks • Updates the product inventory as products are received and added to our inventory • Packages products for return to vendors and fill out any RMA paperwork necessary prior to the shipment being picked up • Assures a clean and safe working environment, emphasizing prevention of potential problems and hazardous conditions. Addresses unsafe acts and conditions. Collaborates with others to resolve safety issues. • Follows and supports lean principles; supports new process and product development and implementation. • Analyzes material usage variances. • Trains new and existing employees. • Establishes priorities for specific customer orders, and revises schedule according to customer demand.
