Quality Inspector

Description

• Leidos is seeking a talented Quality Technician to join our Colorado Springs, CO, team and help us create unique solutions for complex problems. As an intricate member of the team, you will perform Quality functions for the project team involved with the development of hypersonic manufacturing systems, including component compliance, process compliance, non-conformance identification and reporting, Root Cause and Corrective Actions.

Primary responsibilities

• Identifying, tagging, and segregating non-conforming parts as appropriate
• Generating non-conformances for non-conforming parts
• Support Quality Metrics and Trending
• Support Quality Inspections
• Knowledge of inspection methodology including Blue Light Scanning helpful
• Support the develop of Manufacturing Travelers/Routers
• Ensure Manufacturing Travelers/Routers are followed approving critical steps
• Support corrective actions by perform Investigation and root cause analysis to drive improvements into processes
• Experience with GD&T and machining

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree and 2-4 years of prior relevant experience or a Masters degree with less than 2 years of prior relevant experience
• Associates Science Degree is acceptable or have an equivalent degree from an ABET-accredited university with at least 7 years' experience in Quality Engineering under an AS9100 or equivalent experience
• In lieu of degree, High School Diploma/GED with a minimum of 10 years of experience in quality and/or quality engineering under an AS9100 system or equivalent experience in DOD, Aerospace, or Automotive manufacturing quality control.
• Experience working under an AS9100 quality system or equivalent experience in a DOD Manufacturing environment.
• Candidate must hold an active Secret Security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• ASQ Certified Quality Engineer
• Lean Six Sigma certification
• GD&T knowledge

Pay Range:
Pay Range $55,250.00 - $99,875.00
