Lab Technician

Description:

The current opportunity is an entry-level position, and involves handling multiple projects in an accurate manner and on a time-sensitive basis. Principals of Color Measurement Technology, Materials Science, ASTM Standard Specifications and Historic Preservation Guidelines are applied in the pursuit of high quality, durable and compatible solutions to various building restoration challenges.

MUST HAVES

Lab etiquette

basic knowledge of chemical engineer (color customization is ideal but not required)

Great problem solving and creating experiments to test

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• A 4-year Degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Civil Engineering, Materials Science or Historic Preservation

• Meticulous record-keeping and documentation skills

• Efficient multi-tasking capabilities

• Normal Color Vision

• Computer skills, including Excel, MSWord and Photoshop; Color Measurement and Communication software experience a plus

• Basic Laboratory Skills, including accuracy in bench top procedures and documentation
