Job Title: Quality Engineer

Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Engineer to support supplier quality processes and ensure compliance with internal and industry standards. This role involves reviewing documentation, managing corrective actions, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to maintain high-quality standards throughout the supply chain.
Key Responsibilities
- First Article Review (FAI): Review First Article Inspections from suppliers for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with specifications.
- Supplier Approval Process: Work directly with suppliers to verify quality documentation and demonstrate process capability.
- Corrective Action Follow-Up: Track, validate, and close supplier corrective actions (e.g., 8D, 5-Whys).
- Documentation Review: Ensure quality records, control plans, and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) meet internal and industry standards.
- NCR Management: Coordinate Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) with suppliers and internal teams to ensure timely resolution and documentation.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Engineering and Manufacturing teams to address quality issues and drive continuous improvement.
- Stator Quality Support: Assist in resolving quality issues related to high-temp stator components and new supplier development.
- Motor Housing Porosity Support: Work with Engineering and casting suppliers to reduce scrap rates and address pressure leak issues.
- Part Marking Quality Support: Ensure incoming part/pump marking meets PO requirements and assist with supplier NCRs and root cause corrective actions.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New Haven, CT.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $43.00 - $45.00/hr.
