Position Title: Survey Crew Chief
Location: Rocky Hill, Connecticut

Position Overview
A Connecticut‑based firm is seeking a skilled and dedicated Survey Crew Chief with at least 5 years of experience to support a variety of field projects across the state. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise in surveying procedures and equipment, along with proven leadership experience in managing field crews.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct surveys for municipal infrastructure, including:
- Building and facility sites
- Open land and development areas
- Roadways, bridges, and streetscapes
- Residential and commercial construction sites
- Perform boundary, topographic, hydrologic, as‑built, and construction stakeout surveys.
- Research land records and apply findings to field operations.
- Utilize robotic instruments and GPS systems for accurate data collection.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure quality and timely deliverables.
Required Skills
- Minimum 5 years of experience leading survey crews.
- Proficiency in:
- Boundary and topographic surveys
- Hydrologic and as‑built surveys
- Construction stakeout and land records research
- Experience with robotic instruments and Leica Total Stations.
- Familiarity with Carlson Data Collectors, AutoCAD, GPS, and Microstation.
- Strong problem‑solving skills in both field and office settings.
- Excellent communication and team leadership abilities.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rocky Hill, CT.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $37.00 - $42.00/hr.
