**** Candidates need to be flexible with moving to various departments are needed *** Must Have: Experience working within any sort of shipping/receiving environment Ability to lift 50 pounds Prior inventory or cycle count experience CASELOT: EXTREMELY PHYSICAL - responsible for pulling orders and putting them onto the conveyor - given a print out that shows them which Module to report to, its alphabetized A-F, this print out will also indicate which level to start on (3 levels). - They will place the correct shipping labels onto the product prior to loading it onto the conveyor - Each module is separated based on product, food is loaded separately due to FDA regulations. - They will typically load 500 lines per hour, and 400 lines per hour if they are in a department that has a module with heavier items such as a cat litter, small refrigerators, etc. - This job is extremely physical and labor intensive since all product is going to be pulled by hand. - They could be pulling boxes filled with canned soups, appliances etc. This is more of a confined space, the conveyor belt is between pallets where the product is stowed. RECEIVING: - unloading and stowing product throughout the warehouse - need to be able to reach product that is stacked at the top of the trailer and work their way down - responsible for unloading 2-3 trailers per shift SHIPPING: - Walmart is very strategic on how they load freight, similar to Tetris, everything has to fit neatly and needs to be stacked from heaviest items on bottom to lightest on top - A heavier item like an AC Unit must be put on the bottom and smaller items should be stacked last - Items should be stacked neatly from floor to ceiling - This is extremely labor intensive, candidates need to be prepared to 12+hour shifts on their feet. - they'll be loading product from the conveyor line into the trailer trucks The night shift tends not to as volume intensive, a candidate may be responsible for loading 1-3 trucks throughout their shift by themselves.
