Job Title: Sr Firmware Engineer


Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Sr Firmware Engineer to join our team. This role involves developing firmware to interpret and manipulate data from various sensing technologies used in flow and BTU meter systems. The position includes developing new calculation algorithms and improving existing ones, as well as serving as the technical project lead for developing precision measurement devices.


Responsibilities

  • Generate firmware using 'C' code for various microprocessor platforms.
  • Lead a cross-functional team of engineers in the development of new products, including electrical, firmware, mechanical, and manufacturing aspects.
  • Develop test procedures and write software unit tests.
  • Lead and participate in design reviews.
  • Define technical requirements and software architecture, including drivers, based on market and top-level system requirements.
  • Perform all other related duties as required.

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in C Programming.
  • Experience with version control systems such as Git and/or SVN.
  • Knowledge of higher-level programming languages, such as Python.
  • Embedded device programming expertise.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Technical leadership capabilities.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science (Master's degree is a plus).
  • 5+ years of experience with programming in C.
  • 5+ years of hands-on development experience with measurement or scientific instrumentation.
  • 3+ years of experience in a formal technical leadership role.
  • 10+ years of experience in programming embedded devices.

Work Environment

The work environment is onsite, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM. The position offers a supportive and inclusive workplace, emphasizing employee well-being and safety.
