Job Overview
In performing day-to-day routine tasks, prepare finished products for shipment or storage following established shipping guidelines. Using a basic knowledge of proper inventory procedures, performs a combination of clerical tasks to support inventory control area. Performs work according to company and department guidelines. May assist in performing other work duties.
A Day In The Life
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Shipping :
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Prior experience in a similar type of position required.
EQUIPMENT/TOOLS: Computer terminal for data entry, calculator, electronic scale, flat cart or hand truck to transport products to shelving or shipping, electronic reel counter, ladder with handrails. Instapak 901/970 foaming system, various tools for maintenance including hammer, drill press, screwdriver, plunger, wrench, paint brushes/rollers, small power tools, etc.
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:
Able to compare what shipping documents to products to ensure correct shipments.
Familiar with manifest systems.
Basic Computer skills required; SAP a plus
Knowledge of electronic & mechanical components.
An understanding of inventory control is a plus.

A Day In The Life
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Shipping :
- Print out the morning report.
- Print out Shippers and Highlight special instructions.
- Pulling FG to the shipper, verifying PN, SN, QTY, Firm number if needed and Smart stream number.
- Packaging product.
- Work overtime as needed.
- Receiving delivery
- Process packing slip data in the system.
- After processing Product location. (Quality inspection or Dock to Stock)
- Work overtime as needed.
