Job Description
We are seeking a skilled commercial/industrial electrical superintendent with strong field leadership skills, expertise in manpower control, scheduling discipline, and the ability to confidently interact with clients. This role requires comfort with documentation and a safety-driven approach to operations.
Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee field supervision and electrical crews on active projects.
- Plan, manage, and adjust manpower requirements to meet project schedules.
- Set clear expectations for productivity, quality, safety, and accountability.
- Train and support field supervision in scheduling, reporting, and job planning.
- Review and understand project estimates, schedules, contracts, and man-hour budgets.
- Develop and maintain 3-week project schedules and review 3-day look-ahead plans.
- Monitor job progress, productivity, and labor performance.
- Identify labor-saving opportunities and flag potential issues early.
- Coordinate critical work activities, shutdowns, and project milestones.
- Maintain daily job journals and required field documentation.
- Track RFIs, change requests, time and material tickets, and productivity reports.
- Ensure all project documents are properly maintained and submitted on schedule.
- Communicate project updates, risks, and irregularities to management.
- Serve as the primary field point of contact for clients and project stakeholders.
- Attend project meetings, safety meetings, and progress reviews as required.
- Communicate schedule changes, scope issues, and work impacts clearly and professionally.
- Enforce all safety policies and procedures on job sites.
- Promote a strong safety culture through toolbox talks and consistent enforcement.
- Participate in safety audits, incident investigations, and corrective actions.
- Ensure quality standards and housekeeping expectations are maintained.
- Assist with material takeoffs, equipment planning, and procurement coordination.
- Monitor material deliveries and backorders to avoid delays or duplicate orders.
- Ensure company vehicles, tools, and equipment are properly maintained.
Essential Skills
- Strong background in electrical construction (commercial and/or industrial).
- Proven experience supervising electrical crews and field leadership staff.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and schedules.
- Experience managing manpower, productivity, and jobsite logistics.
- Comfortable with documentation, reporting, and basic computer software (Excel, Word, PDF tools).
- Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Electrical Superintendent.
- Experience with structured project scheduling and look-ahead planning.
- Familiarity with time-and-material and contract work environments.
- OSHA or formal safety training.

Work Environment
The role involves working in active construction environments, which requires the ability to walk job sites, climb ladders, and lift up to 50 lbs as needed. The work is primarily outdoors, exposed to the elements.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Riverview, FL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00/hr.
