Job Description
The Quality Inspector performs incoming inspections on manufactured components, using computer-based drawings, precision measuring tools, and visual inspection techniques to ensure products meet all quality standards and customer specifications.

Responsibilities
- Perform incoming inspections on parts and materials to verify they meet established quality standards and specifications.
- Use a computer system to access and review engineering prints and related documentation for each inspection.
- Interpret and work from blueprints to determine required dimensions, tolerances, and inspection criteria.
- Conduct dimensional inspections using calipers, gauges, and other precision measuring instruments.
- Carry out detailed visual inspections to identify defects, damage, or nonconformities.
- Support first article inspections to validate initial production runs and document findings accurately.
- Perform moisture testing and other specific quality checks as required by product or customer requirements.
- Accurately record, document, and maintain inspection results in the appropriate systems and forms.
- Communicate clearly with production, engineering, and other team members regarding quality issues, nonconforming parts, and corrective actions.
- Work both independently and collaboratively within a small quality team to meet inspection schedules and priorities.
- Follow established quality control and quality assurance procedures and contribute to continuous improvement of inspection processes.
- Support and participate in safety programs by identifying and reporting near misses or concerns and following all safety guidelines.
Essential Skills
- Proven experience in quality inspection, quality control, or quality assurance in a manufacturing or similar environment.
- Strong computer skills with the ability to use software to access prints and enter inspection data.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints or demonstrated strong math skills to support dimensional inspection work.
- Proficiency using precision measuring tools such as calipers and gauges for dimensional inspection.
- Experience performing visual inspections to identify defects and nonconformities.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate with team members and also work independently.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in recording inspection results and following procedures.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- SAP or similar ERP system experience is a plus.
- Experience with first article inspection processes is beneficial.
- Familiarity with moisture testing methods is an advantage.
- Blueprint reading and bilingual abilities are valuable in this role.
- Strong problem-solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement in quality processes.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $21.00 - $22.00/hr.
