Job Description

The Biomedical Technician will be a highly proficient and quality-focused producer of Pre-Operative Plans. This role requires an individual who is dedicated to their production efforts to meet team and department production targets.

Responsibilities

• Enter segmentation request data into the database.
• Review CT Scans for conformity to required protocol.
• Segment CT Scan Data using specialized software to create 3D Anatomical Bone Models.
• Create Pre-Operative Surgical Plans for robotically assisted Total Hip and Total Knee Arthroplasty.
• Review CT segmentations and Surgical Plans for accuracy of anatomical landmark selection, and implant sizing and positioning.
• Upload completed Pre-plans to field-based personnel.
• Document all activities according to prescribed methods and procedures.
• Follow work instructions exactly to deliver consistent output.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in medical terminology, biology, biological sciences, and biomedical engineering.
• Experience as a Medical Scribe or in Graphics Design.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Minimum of 2 years of work experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent is required; a bachelor's degree or equivalent is preferred.
• Experience in Salesforce or Materialize MIMICS is preferred.
• Working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop is considered a plus.
• Certification or related experience in Radiology (CT, X-Ray, MRI) is preferred.
• Certification in Nursing or related field is advantageous.
• Completion of college-level anatomy course.
• Demonstrated customer service orientation and interpersonal communication skills.
• Efficient work methods and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Work Environment

This is an onsite, office-based position. The standard working hours are 7 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday.
