Our client, a leading independent healthcare technology company, is seeking to expand their team of Remote Medical Billers, to support a 6-month long project, with potential to extension.

  • 1-3 years of Medical Billing Experience (Claims, Denials, Rejections, Insurance Follow-Ups etc)
  • Revenue Cycle Management/ Accounts Receivable Experience
  • Knowledge of HMO/PPO, Medicare, Medicaid, and other payer requirements and systems
  • Experience in specialties such as Pathology, radiology, anesthesia preferred
  • Microsoft Office Suite Experience (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Ability to meet quality and productivity requirements
  • Must have quiet space to work in, reliable internet and no distractions
  • Minimum of High School Diploma (A.A. or B.A. preferred)
  • Must reside on the EAST COAST
  • Complete Typing and Speed Test Requirements

Job Summary:

  • The main function of a medical biller is to submit medical claims to insurance companies and payers such as Medicare and Medicaid.
  • Responsible for the timely submission of technical or professional medical claims to insurance companies.
  • Prepare, review, and transmit claims using billing software, including electronic and paper claim processing
  • Follow up on unpaid claims within standard billing cycle timeframe
  • Review patient bills for accuracy and completeness and obtain any missing information
  • Research and appeal denied claims

 Work Environment:

  • Fully remote – Equipment provided (Must have quiet room, no distractions, reliable internet)
  • Hours: Flexible shifts starting from 6:30AM-9:00AM – 8 Hours shifts. Monday-Friday
    • Two 15-minute breaks and you can choose a 30-60 minute lunch break.
