The Digital Marketing Software Development Business Analyst is responsible for understanding, analyzing and documenting business practices, as well as working collaboratively with the Product Owner, implementation teams and business stakeholders in order to support and/or enhance feature development.

The Digital Marketing Software Development Business Analyst must manage requirements in an Agile framework. The main tasks will be related (but not limited) to requirements gathering, stories/features definition, acceptance criteria writing and project/initiative documentation in general, as well as ensuring technology solutions provided all are aligned with business goals to achieve and exceed customer expectations.

This position employs business process knowledge, analysis, design, testing and collaboration with internal and external business partners including vendors and technical peers to accomplish assignments. The candidate will have excellent analytical skills, initiative, and communication skills.



1. Collaborates with Product Owner and stakeholders to define and document feature requirements.

2. Collaborates and provides business guidance to software implementation team (programmers and testers) to ensure requirements are correctly understood and completed/validated.

3. Gathers, analyzes and diagrams project requirements using different approaches based on the needs of the feature/request and the team.

4. Writes and manages implementation requests in the form of research spikes, user stories and/or bugs. Specially works on writing clear and accurate acceptance criteria for them.

5. Uncovers existing dependencies between requests (enhancements, changes, bugs) and/or existing legacy applications or business rules, in order to determine their impact on the project.

6. Maintains updated documentation in before, during and after the development process to ensure coherence between the original requests, all approved changes and the final behavior of the application.

7. Triages issues/bugs during the development process to determine root cause and possible resolutions, and production issues to route them to the correct teams.

8. Assists on feature/story traceability from requirement inception to product delivery.

9. Understands the web system architecture and how it integrates with other applications, services layers, down-stream systems and third-party tools.

• 2+ years of experience in the software development field or in a related area.

• 2+ years of experience as Software Development Business Analyst or a related role.

• Bachelor (or higher) degree in software development or process definition areas (e.g.: Computer Sciences, Information Technology, Industrial Engineering, etc.) is preferred.



• Proven expertise with methodologies, tools, best practices and processes in the Software Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

o Knowledge of Agile Methodology is a plus.

• Proven knowledge of analysis and requirements management process, tools, and best practices.

• Certain degree of creativity with strong analytical, and problem solving skills.

• Abilities to understand, discuss and communicate technical solutions.

• Software development technical writing skills

o Knowledge of Agile Visual Modeling methods is a plus.

• Proven ability to collaborate across internal and external organization including vendors.

• Capable of working independently with minimal supervision.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Good group facilitation skills.
