Manufacturing Engineer Entry Level

Panhandle client hiring JR. Manufacturing Engineers!

Description:

This person will be on a 18 month contract as a Manufacturing Engineer on the Advanced Manufacturing team. You will be meeting with production personnel as well as engineering to find the best way to layout the new equipment.

Duties:

• Perform technical analyses on a variety of field-related subjects
• Model or design product in a CAD-based environment
• Be part of team to develop design reviews, design changes, development of new product, Bill of Materials, Labor Lists, and resource requirements
• Support projects to improve the manufacturing processes; ensuring quality work is done in a safe, efficient manner
• Liaise with other engineers/managers to develop plans that improve production, costs, and labor required
• Diagnose problems in the production line and provide recommendations and training
• Establish safety procedures and protocols that take the workers' well-being into account

Requirements:

• B.S. Degree in an Engineering discipline, Mechanical, Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering preferred.
• 6 months experience and/or internship in a manufacturing environment
• Familiarity with Lean concepts
• Experience with CAD software and ability to interpret drawings
• Machining and/or manufacturing experience
• Strong ability and desire to learn processes and technologies
