Medical Assistant

* MEDICAL ASSISTANT WANTED IN JACKSONVILLE, FL : MONDAY - FRIDAY MORNING SHIFT *

The successful candidate will assist healthcare providers with patient care, perform administrative duties, and maintain patient records in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Responsibilities:

• Greet patients and escort them to exam rooms
• Obtain and document patient vitals and medical history
• Assist healthcare providers with in-office procedures
• Administer medications and vaccines as directed by healthcare providers
• Prepare and maintain exam rooms and medical supplies
• Answer phone calls and schedule appointments as needed
• Maintain patient medical records and update patient information as necessary
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• ** 6 months of current work as a medical assistant, or externship**
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Experience working in a healthcare setting
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Basic computer skills and proficiency with EMR systems

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

-Preferred to be a certified/registered Medical Assistant in state of Florida
