Job Duties:

  • Ensure integrity of project drawings and maintain privileged information as per customer and company requirements
  • Work with the Project Team to develop accurate and complete drawing sets
  • Create construction drawings from scratch using AutoCAD and Revit
  • Revise existing construction drawings
  • Maintain a tracking log of drawings that are created/revised
  • Independently execute assignments and arrive at solutions by receiving directions on project objectives
  • Review drawings for accuracy, quality control, scope of work, and best practices
  • Hold and participate in team meetings, including BIM Coordination meetings with customers, to resolve project/technical issues and coordinate schedule.
  • Review 3D Models from consultants and contractors
  • Conduct clash detection and visual walkthroughs using Navisworks Manage
  • Audit and review models in Autodesk Revit
  • Early design review and constructability analysis
  • Manage / Update BIM Project Documents and maintain project organization
  • Understand, promote, and implement Virtual Design and Construction processes and technologies
  • Educate project teams and clients about the benefits of Virtual Design and Construction
  • Run the multi trade coordination for clashes to assist project team with the design process
  • Collect and process various 2D documentation and 3D models for design coordination
  • Provide insight into new time saving methodologies related to technologies and best practices

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of work experience in drawing production using AutoCAD for Architectural/Construction related projects
  • 3D Cad experience is highly preferred
  • Experience in using Revit, Navisworks and knowledge of other various CAD/BIM Systems (BIM 360, Veo, Bluebeam, etc.) is a plus.
  • Associates degree in AEC related field and/or Technical Certifications in Drafting/BIM Modeling
  • Capable of reading and understanding construction drawings and details, accurately identify product specifications and understanding of detail assemblies and their application for installation
  • Excellent communication and follow up skills (Project Managers, installers, and internal/ external customers), detail oriented, and ability to research information.
  • Capable of working with internal and external customers to coordinate final design/coordination drawings
  • Knowledge of basic construction processes and procedures
  • Experience with Microsoft Office
  • Ability to visualize 2D representations in three dimensions
  • Experience with 3D Model Quantity Extraction / Verification
  • Familiar with Overhead coordination process including 3D Modeling utilizing Revit in project environment, Project As-builts and turnover for Facility management
