Description:
This person will be responsible for Reviewing plans and specifications in preparation of field observations on construction sites.
Documenting field activities, observations, and testing results on projects.
Field testing of soil, concrete, asphalt, aggregate, and masonry mortar/ grout for compliance with ASTM, AASHTO, DOT, and/or project specifications.
Daily use of Metafield®, and/or other field and laboratory information management system.
Calibrating field and laboratory equipment to industry codes and standards.
Communicating with management staff, general contractors, and clients.
Day to Day:
Come in and train – 2 days of modules then they get a company truck and go out in the field. We usually put them on small projects or an overnight concrete pours 12 am – 2 am (6-8 hrs days) depending on how much training is required.
Responsible for managing jobsites by themselves, QC manager will come by and check on sites and them on occasion.
Responsible for testing masonry and soils at new construction sites
We have ALOT of soils jobs starting on mass sites - ICC Soils / ACI testing concrete /ICC structural masonry would be a bonus
