About the role:
As a Senior Field Project Manager within our Specialty Welding & Machining department, you will manage projects at Nuclear Power Plants, with a focus on Feedwater Heater/Heat Exchanger replacements and nuclear system piping repairs, including welding, machining, NDE and related activities.
You will report to the Manager of Field Services Operations and be located at our Diablo Canyon, CA plant. You will have onsite visibility during projects and will be remote in between projects.

About the role:

You will report to the Manager of Field Services Operations and be located at our Diablo Canyon, CA plant. You will have onsite visibility during projects and will be remote in between projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage projects at Nuclear Power Plants, with a focus on Feedwater Heater/Heat Exchanger and large component replacements and nuclear system piping repairs, including welding, machining, NDE and related activities at nuclear power plants.
- Responsible for all project management processes on high-complexity projects, or a portfolio of high-complexity projects at client sites. Lead and establish a healthy collaborative working environment with large multi-discipline teams including Project Controls, Quality, Engineering and other Project Managers.
- Play an important role in the Bid-to-Book processes. Oversee and provide input to development of cost estimates and offers for field service projects, in the nuclear power sector. Support customer negotiations and be an advocate for Westinghouse value-added opportunities at customer sites.
- You will complete the project planning processes, including authoring project management plans, procedures, schedules, challenge meetings, cost baselines/projections and financials reporting, invoicing billing milestones, risk and partner registers per the Westinghouse Enterprise Project Management Office programs and Specialty Welding & Machining Project Playbook.
- Be the driving factor during project execution at customer sites that lead our teams to safe and event-free, first-time quality project deliveries including schedule performance vs. baseline, tracking and projecting financials, invoicing, logging project performance details and lessons learned, and active partner management with internal and external communications. Develop and implement recovery plans when projects are off-track.
- Ensure project closure by archiving work in financial, scheduling, document management, and resource management systems/tools. Perform final project quality assessments and reports. Communicate best practices, opportunities for improvement, lessons learned, and risk avoidance for future work.
- Bachelor's degree required in the fields of: Project Management, Engineering, Science, or Construction Management.
- 15+ years of Project Management experience with large high-complexity projects at Nuclear Power Plants.
- Specific experience preferred in Nuclear Power Plant Construction Management, Feedwater Heater/Heat Exchanger replacements, Moisture Separator Reheaters, Steam Generator Replacements, and other large component replacements.
- Experience leading large high-value field-based projects at nuclear plants, during outages, and following Safety and Non-Safety Related Quality Programs, ASME codes and multiple types of NDE.
