GIS Technician I

Description:

The purpose of this position is to create, collect, review, analyze and validate enterprise asset data within GIS or other asset information databases/applications. Primary responsibilities for all subsidiaries include converting asset and landbase records into geospatial format in GIS for infrastructure construction projects, performing QA/QC, and producing related maps, reports, and queries. GIS Tech will also be responsible for the input, processing, and maintenance of pipeline data in accordance with GAS work procedures and consistent with company GIS Data strategy.

Job Responsibilities:

• Post updates to the GIS databases
• Process asbuilts in GIS via ArcFM
• Process data to support transfer of information between GIS applications
• Maintain high standards for data quality within all applications, including GIS
• Reconcile database conflicts and take appropriate action to improve database performance
• Perform analysis using GIS tools
• Maintain and manage pipeline records associated with a project
