DESCRIPTION: The Dynamic Workplace Services Practice Architect contributes to the growth, effectiveness, and profitability of the Practice by providing customer consultation and senior technical leadership. The Practice Architect must be adept in a wide range of technologies, services and consulting approaches used within Dynamic Workplace Services. The Practice Architect will provide Subject Matter Expertise (SME) within one or more core service offerings, minimally within the Modern Desktop and/or Desktop Engineering capacity. This SME function will provide industry leading expertise, consultation and guidance to other members of the Practice, current engagements, and new perspective engagements. The Practice Architect will provide customer facing consulting and implementation services for our clients serving heavily in a consultative role in a pre and post sales capacity in order to grow and expand the current customer base within Global Services. This role will also be responsible for the creation and maintenance of Practice marketing content, solution frameworks, and pricing. This role will work in close partnership with the Global Services sales team, Solution Architect, other Practice Architects, Delivery Leadership, and Practice Directors. QUALIFICATIONS: • 7 – 10+ years of Service Delivery leadership experience in a commercial Managed Service provider environment within the Desktop Support and/or Desktop Engineering capacity • 7+ years of experience building, integrating and delivering enterprise-wide solutions. • Highly proficient with Microsoft Endpoint Manager, System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM), Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT), Windows Deployment Services, and/or similar deployment and system management tools • Experience delivering System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) and/or Microsoft Endpoint Manager Implementation, Migration/Upgrade, Troubleshooting, Boundaries, Replication, and Remediation • Experience designing, implementing, and supporting/administering Virtual Desktop Infrastructure and/or Application Virtualization solutions for large enterprise environments (Citrix, VMware, AWS, Microsoft) • Experience implementing and/or administering Mobile Device Management (MDM) utilizing Microsoft Endpoint Manager, Intune, or other MDM tools o Experience with creating Device Configuration Policies for Managed and Unmanaged Devices on various providers and platforms o Experience with App Protection Policies and configuration on various providers and platforms o Experience with Android Enterprise store and sideloading custom applications on both iOS and Android o Experience with Conditional Access for multiple platforms including Azure and Okta o Experience with multiple MFA options including Azure o Experience with SSO authentication including SAML tokens for authentication • Experience designing and implementing modern desktop deployment solutions, including: o Windows desktop imaging process(es) o Deployment Task Sequences, scripts, process(es), etc. o Application rationalization, testing, and remediation o Firmware & Driver troubleshooting & maintenance (BOIS and UEFI) o Endpoint anti-virus and disk encryption o VPN technologies (site-to-site & point-to-point) • Experience writing and/or modifying scripts for automated systems management and software distribution - PowerShell, VBScript, Windows Script (.wsf), Extensible Markup Language (XML), and Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI), etc. • Experience administering Active Directory Federated Services and other SSO solutions • Network Administration, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Wi-Fi, troubleshooting • Router/Switch/Firewall Administration • Strong willingness and desire to be in a customer consultative capacity • Strong willingness and desire to be in a hands-on implementation and support capacity • Willing and able to travel on short term notice and up to 50% • Experience managing service operations within an ITIL based IT organization • BA or BS degree in a related field preferred. REQUIRED SKILL SET: • Executive level communication skills, Excellent oral and written communication skills • Excellent time management skills, flexible and able to handle multiple initiatives concurrently • Ability to design and deliver quality presentations to clients and stakeholders • Excellent technical, leadership, and organizational skills • Proactively anticipate problems; define the problem; root cause analysis; work with team to identify solutions; select and implement the most appropriate solution • Possesses an understanding of IT Services: service offerings, technical standards and policies, technical and business strategies as well as organizational structure • Maintains awareness of new and emerging technologies • Strong knowledge and experience in disciplines, tools, and process resident within Infrastructure services and modern desktop • Exercise influence at many levels of the organization up to the CIO/CTO Level • Ensures that both tactical and strategic team goals are met • Make key decisions based upon input from teams; solid understanding of IT Services principles; firm and business objectives and needs analysis • Proposal and/or Statement of Work development • Demonstrated experience in utilizing flexible sourcing options to deliver services • Proven product/solution development management experience. • Proven Product Development ideally in key verticals of Healthcare, Financial Services, and Retail. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Sales Support & Solution Development: • Serve as the Point of Contact with Sales and Practice leaders for new business opportunities • Serve in a customer facing consultative capacity in the following key areas: o Deployment and Engineering: Workplace Services deployment strategies for hardware and software Core Infrastructure deployment for server, network, and telephony Deployment of Point of Sale technologies Asset Management Lifecycle Cloud Productivity adoption Merger and acquisition infrastructure strategies o End-to-End process engineering: Communication Management process Cost Management process Risk Management process Knowledge Management Quality Management • Responsible for assigned Practice specific Solutions, which includes the following: o Data analysis o Resource modeling/team structure o Skills analysis/requirements o Pricing o Contractual Assumptions • Delivery of, or participation in, the final customer documents for specific opportunities: o Solution Proposal o Statement of Work (SOW) o Request for Proposal (RFP) Implementation Support: • Serve as the Practice SME for workplace services: o Deployment Support: Workplace Services deployment strategies for hardware and software Core Infrastructure deployment for server, network, and telephony Deployment of Point of Sale technologies Asset Management Lifecycle Cloud Productivity adoption Merger and acquisition infrastructure strategies o Desktop Engineering: Deployment Automation Image Management (Design/Create/Maintain) Application Packaging Patch Management Software Deployment & Software Distribution • Design, implementation, and support of new engagements • Support of existing engagements on customer premise or at a TEKsystems Solution Center to optimize, stabilize and provide innovation for current services • Practice specific industry research – white papers, best Practices/ industry standards, and industry trends. • Maintain industry specific Best Practices within Workplace Services • Maintain practice documentation and artifacts • Serve as a role model by promoting and demonstrating commitment to practice methodologies, processes and standards for both TEKsystems Global Services and industry-wide, recommending process improvements when necessary. • Lend expertise to internal IT teams and task forces as well as other IT projects/programs.
