We are looking for a Senior Mulesoft Engineer to work on a 12 month+ contract (good chance that this role will go permanent with our customer). Candidates that live in Honolulu, or in Hawaii are highly preferred. If someone does live in NV, AZ WA, TX, OK, the client will consider (this person would have to work on Hawaii Standard Time (HST) each day.
This is a W-2 contract - the client is not willing to sponsor a visa at this time.
Responsibilities:
- Gathers, analyzes, and transforms business requirements into scalable/manageable solution architecture and design specifications.
- Develops, tests, and delivers MuleSoft based solutions using API driven design, messaging patterns, and development best practices and standards.
- Supports the MuleSoft environment and solutions, including off-hours support.
- Partners with other teams across ASB (i.e., Project Management, Enterprise Architecture, Information Security, DevOps, etc.) to ensure collaboration, consistency and quality of solutions.
- Partners with DevOps team to ensure efficient CI/CD processes and monitoring of MuleSoft solutions.
- Drives continuous improvement and exploration of industry standards and technology advances.
- Designs, develops and maintains Enterprise Integration Solution Architecture including SOA and ETL concepts and capabilities.
- Designs reusable assets, components, standards, frameworks, and processes to support and facilitate API and integration development.
- Guides development teams on the choice of MuleSoft components and patterns to use in the detailed design and implementation.
- Advises development teams on performance, scalability, reliability, monitoring and other operational concerns of integration solutions on MuleSoft Platform.
- Ensures self and development team adheres to documented design and development patterns and standards.
- Leads, coaches, and runs the MuleSoft development team.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience with leading and coaching a team of developers.
- B.S. degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Banking knowledge a plus.
