Seeking a Survey Crew Chief in the Coralville Area for a Civil Engineering Company!!

Job Description

The role involves coordinating with project managers, executing field surveys, and ensuring accurate data collection for design and construction projects. Candidates with technical or civil/construction backgrounds are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with project managers to plan and execute field surveys.
• Ensure accurate data collection for design and construction projects.
• Communicate effectively with contractors and prepare data for construction staking.
• Perform construction staking, land surveying, and interpret civil drawings.
• Conduct topographic and boundary surveys.
• Utilize GPS and robotic survey equipment.

Essential Skills

• 2-3 years of experience with construction staking, land surveying, and interpreting civil drawings.
• Experience as a crew chief.
• Experience with topographic and boundary surveying.
• Familiarity with GPS and robotic survey equipment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with at least two years of relevant experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Knowledge of CAD and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to resolve on-site conflicts and interpret technical documents.
