Job Title: Analytical Technician
Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Analytical Technician to join our team for a 3-month contract, covering a maternity leave. This role involves analyzing data and information for quality, consistency, and accuracy using a variety of analytical and sample handling equipment. The successful candidate will maintain accurate and detailed sample, product, and instrument records, contributing to an efficient manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Analyze data and information for quality, consistency, and accuracy.
- Use a variety of analytical and sample handling equipment.
- Maintain accurate and detailed sample, product, and instrument records.
- Contribute to and support an efficient manufacturing environment.
- Comply with certification requirements and safety regulations.
- Understand and perform necessary emergency, safety, and cleaning procedures.
- Handle sample and reagent preparations carefully and accurately for analytical and functional assays.
- Demonstrate behavior consistent with core values.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Adhere to safety regulations, lab SOPs, and contamination controls.
- Determine pass/fail status of oligos and materials by reviewing analytical data such as CE, HPLC, pH, Conductivity, Titration, and UV-Vis.
- Use automated and manual lab equipment accurately, including limited maintenance, decontamination, and troubleshooting activities.
Essential Skills
- High School Diploma or equivalent with 2 years relevant experience required.
- Associate's degree with 1 year relevant experience or Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
- Experience with analytical instrumentation or quality control preferred.
- Proficiency with computers and variety of software in windows-based environment required.
- Attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Flexibility and adaptability to change.
- Knowledge of current relevant technological advancements.
- Ability to perform under stress in emergent, critical, unusual, or dangerous situations.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Quality control, biology, GMP, QC, Lab SOPs, safety regulations, chemistry, ISO 9001.
- 2-year degree required, 4-year degree preferred.
- Open to current students earning their science degree who have completed a majority of their science-based classes.
