Lab Technician

Job Title: Lab Technician

Responsibilities

• Operate both automated and manual lab equipment, including liquid handlers.
• Perform troubleshooting and maintenance activities on lab equipment.
• Conduct manual pipetting as required.
• Utilize customer software packages to complete tasks and produce the final product.
• Apply stoichiometry to convert measurement units and create custom solutions.
• Quantify and sample DNA fragments for quality control tests.
• Assess quality control data and maintain daily shipping deadlines for customer products.
• Adhere to safety regulations, lab standard operating procedures (SOPs), and contamination controls.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in Biology, Chemistry, and Microbiology.
• Experience with lab technologies such as HPLC and PCR.
• Strong attention to detail and multitasking abilities.
• Reliability and consistent attendance.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• An Associate's degree in a science-related field with at least 2 years of applicable lab experience is required.
• A Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
• Open to candidates with a wide variety of degrees.
