Job Description
The Project Manager is responsible for compiling everything needed for a successful field project. From the moment a project receives authorization to proceed, the Project Manager assumes leadership and is charged with ensuring its success.
Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee field projects from start to finish, ensuring successful execution.
- Coordinate with various teams to compile necessary resources and materials.
- Manage project timelines and budgets efficiently.
- Maintain communication with clients and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
- Facilitate problem-solving and implement continuous improvement strategies.
- Develop and maintain long-term customer relationships, acting as a trusted advisor.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in mechanical systems, industrial construction, and project management.
- Experience in mechanical engineering and industrial construction management.
- Strong project coordination abilities.
- Familiarity with material handling systems, millwright services, or industrial installations.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with CAD or ability to coordinate engineering and design support.
- Estimating experience for materials and labor.
- Experience in manufacturing environments.
- Experience in supporting or transitioning into direct sales or customer development.
- Strong problem-solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Willingness to develop long-term customer relationships.
Work Environment
Enjoy a family-friendly environment with lots of autonomy in deciding how to spend your time, whether onsite or in the office. The leadership style is hands-off, providing support when needed but allowing you to manage your tasks independently. Flexible arrangements for personal commitments, profit sharing, and tuition reimbursement are offered. Projects are typically within 50 miles with fast turnover, averaging around two months. Occasionally, you may need to travel for projects, about once every six months
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hiawatha, IA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $28.85 - $38.46/hr.
