Architectural Designer

An architecture and design firm headquartered in California is currently hiring for an Architectural Designer. This position is remote, but candidates must currently reside in Boise, ID, or be willing to relocate there in the near future. Local presence is essential due to project-specific requirements and future in-person collaboration once a Boise office is established. This position does not support long-term remote work from outside the Boise area. A minimum of 5+ years of experience in architectural design is required, with a strong preference for candidates experienced in Revit and light industrial, fire station, or multifamily projects.

Pay– (Depending on years of experience, software proficiency, project portfolio, and relevant job titles)

Location– Boise, ID (Remote until office is built)

Schedule– Standard Monday – Friday (40 hours per week)

Responsibilities

• Develop construction documents and permit sets from schematic design through construction.
• Conduct code research and ensure designs comply with local building codes and regulations.
• Collaborate with the project team to deliver high-quality, cost-effective designs.
• Communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders.
• Support design development and construction administration phases.

Qualification Requirements

• 5–7 years of experience in architectural design (preferably in a small firm environment).
• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Photoshop, InDesign, and other design software.
• Strong understanding of building codes and construction methods.
• Experience with light industrial, fire station, and multifamily residential projects.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Disqualifiers

• Less than 5 years of relevant architectural design experience.
• No Revit experience.
• No experience with industrial, fire station, or multifamily project types.
• Inconsistent job history or frequent job changes.
