Job Overview
Primary Responsibility of the Warehouse Trainer is to coach, train, and provide support to operations. Core responsibilities will be centered on developing all employees' skills in equipment operation, distribution center activities (such as picking and put away) and supporting DC Management in administering the training program. This position requires a strong aptitude for instruction and coaching of new employees and retraining of current employees, while leveraging exceptional interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate will be self-managed and well-organized with a desire to develop people.
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 2pm-10pm

A Day In The Life
- Train / cross-train, coach, and provide recognition for warehouse employees to achieve continuous improvement.
- Instruct employees through video and classroom presentation the safe operation of powered industrial equipment (reach trucks, forklifts, turret trucks, etc.)
- Test employees' proficiency via written and practical tests.
- Ensure compliance of all company policies, procedures and safety guidelines.
- Effectively communicate with the trainees and be able to adapt to a differentiated learning style, if needed.
- Research and analyze problems, determine and implement corrections.
- Complete daily reports as needed and do so in a timely and accurate manner.
- Support leadership as warehouse lead backup should coverage be needed.
- Maintain the cleanliness and integrity of the facility through the 5s methodology.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
- Flexibility to work 1st or 3rd shift for training purposes is a must
- Must be 18 years of age by the start of the position
- 1-2 years' experience in warehouse environment is required.
- Working knowledge of BlueYonder or Red Prairie WMS is desired.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Demonstrated ability to safely operate a forklift; standup forklift experience required.
- Demonstrated ability to interact and communicate well within all levels of the organization.
- Capable of handling multiple tasks at once.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrated ability to adjust to sudden changes in operational goals/demands.
- Strong attention to detail and results oriented.
- Ability to be a team player, maintain a positive attitude and lead by example.
- Must be able to meet and sustain reasonable performance expectations for role.
- High School diploma or equivalent is desired.
- Able to perform work for a minimum of eight hours in fast-paced environment
- Able to walk, hear, see, and have full use of both hands
- Able to lift, carry, push, and pull 5 - 50 lbs. from floor to waist and waist to floor
