Job Description
This short-term project involves overseeing the replacement of a material handling lift in a clean room pharmaceutical space. The role requires managing contractors and coordinating trades while ensuring safety compliance in an active utility environment.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage contractors, including supervisors, foremen, and trade leads.
- Monitor daily progress and coordinate trades to maintain schedule.
- Provide safety oversight and work closely with site safety personnel on permitting and compliance.
- Operate in and around active utility systems, including live energy environments.
- Complete daily reports using Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Document notes and photos to track progress and address any issues that arise.
Essential Skills
- Minimum of 5 years of construction management experience.
- OSHA 30 certification.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
- Experience in pharmaceutical clean room environments.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in food and beverage or electrical process/mechanical settings is beneficial.
- A 4-year degree in engineering or construction management is preferred but not required.
- Experience with Microsoft Projects is a plus.
Work Environment
The project site is located in Kankakee, IL. Work hours are from 6:00 am to 3:30 pm for the first month and then extend to 6:00 am to 6:00 pm for the second month, operating 7 days a week. The project runs from Early May to Early July. The work environment consists of a clean room pharmaceutical space with a small on-site team. The role offers flexible compensation and overtime hours, making it an attractive opportunity for those seeking work over the holidays.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $40.00 - $60.00/hr.
