Job Summary
Participates in leading, designing, creating, and delivering marketing programs to support the growth and expansion of Walgreens products and services. Develops and delivers presentations and provides reports based on information collected such as marketing trends, competition, new products, and pricing. This store will support our in-store experience and Puerto Rico marketing campaigns.

Job Responsibilities
  • Leads the implementation of marketing programs to support Walgreens products and services.
  • Partners with the team to recommend action, scheduling and planning projects, estimating cost and managing projects to completion.
  • Evaluates and recommends marketing opportunities consistent with business objectives; provides marketing support throughout the organization.
  • Implements marketing strategies and programs in collaboration with business team.
  • Communicates new ideas to manager.
  • Develops and delivers presentations and provides reports for the business to provide marketing information which may include marketing trends, competition, new products, and pricing.
  • Works with external vendors and third parties to develop and maintain positive relationships.
  • Builds and enhances internal and external partnerships.
  • Assists with in-store marketing planning including developing monthly signage strategies according to enterprise priorities, recommends in-store experience tactics based on business needs, and manages in-store audio/additional adhoc tactics as they are developed. Includes direct oversight of external agency partners.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to test new creative and tactics in-store to help basket build and drive sales.
  • Contributes to strategy and execution of adhoc marketing requests aimed to drive business by building baskets.
  • Executes go-to-market plans to serve business laddering up to business priorities.
  • Partners with social team to create social strategy that is executed at the local level.
  • Utilizes past performance to evaluate media tactics and find synergies to ensure budget is well spent.
  • Assists in owning In-store marketing objectives and act as main point of contact for collaboration with cross-functional teams (including but not limited to): Media, Merchandising, CLM, Loyalty, Product, Digital, Operations, Creative, PR/Communications, w.a.g., and external media/creative agency partners.
  • Implements In-store marketing plans to drive optimal customer engagement, experience (in store and online), and loyalty; including but not limited to: advertising campaigns, promotional programs, public relations activities, event strategies, online marketing programs, in-store marketing events, or mass media.
  • Creates unique and differentiated value propositions for Walgreens customers, leads the creation and execution of marketing briefs to craft messaging tailored to various customer and channel segments.
  • Establishes metrics and measurement plans for In-store efforts to pinpoint effectiveness of marketing strategies and tactics on sales, ROAS, retention and satisfaction.
  • Maintains a deep and thorough knowledge of organization products and services, business models, operations, competition, and the industry.
  • Collaborates with Operations to develop in-store programs aimed at enabling local activation of marketing programs and improving employee awareness and compliance.

The actual salary an employee can expect to receive, plus bonus pursuant to the terms of any bonus plan if applicable, will depend on experience, seniority, geographic location, and other factors permitted by law. Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor degree and at least 2 years of experience in Marketing or Advertising OR High School/ GED and at least 4 years of experience in Marketing or Advertising
  • Experience with the methods, principles, and practices of marketing, advertising, and/or publishing.
  • Experience with techniques for collecting, collating and analyzing information about existing or potential markets and market needs.
  • Experience providing customer service to internal and external customers, including meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
  • Experience developing and delivering presentations to various audience levels within an organization.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with project management (for example: planning, organizing, and managing resources to bring about the successful completion of specific project goals and objectives).
  • Experience with MS Office Suite.
  • Willing to travel up to/at least 15% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field such as marketing, communications, or business administration.
  • Masters degree or MBA.
  • Experience in the indirect management of team members, including assisting in the development, training and assignment of work/projects to other members of a team.
  • Experience working with project/campaign budgets.
  • Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Excel (for example: using SUM function, setting borders, setting column width, inserting charts, using text wrap, sorting, setting headers and footers and/or print scaling)
  • Fluent in Spanish
