Responsibilities: Greet each patient or visitor with excellent customer service Provide patients with appropriate paperwork, entering patient information into electronic medical records system, as well as collection of copays and patient balances Anticipate needs of patients and physicians to allow for an efficient experience Additional Reception desk duties may include answering general questions and to keep the waiting room presentable Answer phones, schedule appointments, obtain authorizations, relay messages and otherwise handle phone calls in a high volume enviornment Will work close with the billing and insurance specialist to provide the best possible service and care to the patients

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Previous receptionist or customer service experience in a medical setting Experience with EPIC preferred Understands and complies with HIPPA laws and regulations Excellent communication skills **BIGGEST must-haves: -Flexibility, wiling to come in if there are call offs, work late if patients still in immediate care, etc. -Systems – EMR’s and working in multiple screens, tools simultaneously SOFT SKILLS: Ability to prioritize and organize workload Sophisticated interviewing, communication and negotiation skills Independent decision making Ability to work hours that verify based on needs of the organization Ability to work as a team member
