My client located in Burr Ridge, IL manufactures and develops tractors and construction equipment for the agriculture and construction/mining industries.

This team is responsible for the electronic displays and guidance systems for the tractor. This system controls many elements of the tractor including the implements connected to the back of the tractor and also controls many portions of the auto guidance autonomous functions

They have had an increase in work on this platform and do not have enough people on the team to come through on the timelines over the next few years.

They are looking for a test engineer to help execute manual tests.

The primary responsibilities of this position will be testing and resolution of bugs (defect resolution). Review defects coming in. Validate if they are problems or not. Review logs. Scrape and filter CAN logs. Manual test and rums sims. Perform root cause to determine what subsystem is responsible for defect.


- Review requirements and specification for tests

- Create functional tests

- Execute manual tests

- Execute on-board testing on the tractors

- Will use CANalyzer for tests

- Will work on Function testing and helping to Automate Sanity tests


CANalyzer, functional test, simulator, Manual test, Black box

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

- BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science

- 5+ years of Test Engineering experience

- Must have experience with manual tests

- Experience creating functional tests

- Experience with CANalyzer, CAN or Vector Test tools

Experience Level:

Intermediate Level
