The North American Integration Technology Center delivers services, including Data Center rack
integration, custom cabling, burn-in and testing, configuration and imaging, system and data
center staging, custom crating, packaging, and asset management. WWT's integration services
provided within the North American Integration Centers continue to be a significant growth area
within WWT. They are an important element within WWT's supply chain services value
proposition. Our customers use our technology centers to stage their entire data center
technology infrastructure during facility upgrades for; racking and stacking components from
multiple manufacturers into ready-to-deploy systems and configuring thousands of network,
collaboration, security, and end-user devices. Pre-deployment services offered through our
Integration Centers decrease field engineering work, speed time to operational readiness, and
reduce deployment costs.

Job Summary
As the Director of Engineering, you are responsible for developing the vision and strategy
required to lead a world-class high-performance team of Infrastructure and Software Engineers.
You and your team will collaborate on exciting infrastructure-driven projects for Fortune 500
customers across all verticals. Additionally, you will be responsible for developing a culture of
continuous improvement and planning driven through KPIs, capacity planning, training, and
process improvement. As a successful leader, you will provide ongoing Thought Leadership,
mentorship, and guidance to your managers and engineers as they execute their assigned
engagements.
As the Director of Engineering, you are responsible for developing the vision and strategy

Job Responsibilities
- Promote World Wide Technology Core Values and Corporate Goals
- Lead a team of approximately 85 Engineering resources responsible for:
- Software Engineering and Automation Services
- Creation and refinement of Standard Operating Procedures
- Advanced Infrastructure and OS Support
- Internal and External customer design-build engineering
- Delivering Operational Excellence through:
- Strong continuous improvement initiatives
- Effective processes, improved workflow design, and Lean initiatives
- KPI management and improvements
- Strategically resolve complex or unusual problems escalated to this level; guide teams
across multiple disciplines to implement effective resolutions - Develop and maintain the ongoing collaborative relationship with the Sales Engineering,
Material Operations, Logistics, Professional Services, and Program Management teams - Create and organize standardization across all programs and integration operations
- Drive consistent product quality through the following:
- Standardized manufacturing processes, including workmanship and quality
standards. - A rigorous approach to process discipline, trend analysis, and root cause corrective
action - Adherence to industry best practices regarding infrastructure design, automation services,
and low-voltage cabling - Play a lead role in conjunction with business stakeholders and other operations leaders to
establish our engineering development roadmap - Responsible for developing a succession plan to ensure business and personnel success.
- Develops personnel by educating, inspiring, and leading by example
- Continue building a strong culture of high-quality engineering practices, continuous
learning, and interdepartmental alignment
Qualifications
- Minimum of seven years of management experience leading IT Infrastructure and
Engineering Teams - Strong experience managing technical projects and infrastructure design-build solutions in a
variable work environment - Proficiency in providing customer service, including senior-level customer and
interdepartmental interactions - KPI and Metric development and attainment
- Proficiency in understanding and managing technical and engineering resources
- Experience and knowledge with Software Automation/Engineering, IT Infrastructure, Low
Voltage cabling, SOP development, and Data Center Environments - Experience managing multiple concurrent projects
- Experience in Lean/Six Sigma manufacturing operations
- Excellent leadership, communication, and administrative skills
- High level of problem-resolution ability and visionary management skills
- Proficient in the use of Office Tools
