A Brief Overview
Production Control is responsible for coordinating production activities in support of meeting the production schedule. A Production Coordinator works closely with production teams to manage exceptions, resolve issues related to flow of work and communicating risks.
Job Responsibilities
- Utilizes MES to document and track exceptions to orders
- Performs various transactions related to the flow of material through production
- Generates shift pass downs and runs reporting to support execution decisions
- Provides clerical support for the execution of the Production Schedule (schedule evaluation, shift pass down, MES updates, etc.)
- Provides transactional support for the flow of material through production (CCCs, BTS, inbound/outbound)
- Communicates risks/issues related work orders and/or schedule to Production Coordinators
- Works closely with cross functional teams
- Performs to established KPIs
Qualifications
- High school/GED required
- A minimum of 1-year progressive experience in a related field preferred
Level of Autonomy
Work is closely managed and reviewed for accuracy and adequacy. Follows specific, outlined, and detailed directions.
