Description:

Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for:

1. Working with shop work centers to manufacture parts

o Familiar with G-Code setup (This will not be the primary responsibility of this role- but may need to jump in from time to time)

o Optimizing machine usage

o Parts manufacture scheduling

• Exposure setting up new flowlines

o Resource loading/leveling

o Production efficiency

o Capital equipment specification

2. Continuous improvement initiatives

o 20 Keys to success

o Monitoring and improving processes

3. ISO Certification Requirements

o Defining work instructions

o Procedures and processes

o Defining quality levels (6 sigma)

4. DFMA (Design for Manufacture and Assembly)

o Work with design engineers to make manufacturing parts $$ effective

o Bring machine capabilities to design levels

o Refine assembly processes

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Must:

5-15 years of experience as a manufacturing engineer

BS degree

come from machining environment for design manufacturing

DFMA

Continuous improvement

ISO exprience

ability and willingness to work on small team and wear multiple hats- will work closely with shop- need to come from an environment where they've done that and have a real world not theoretical approach to their projects.
