Summary of Responsibilities:

Provide in-house and field service / support of; installation, start-up, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, evaluation, and testing of machines / equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ability to travel extensively includes domestic and international
  • Read and interpret engineering detail drawings and electrical schematics
  • Ability to move parts and equipment
  • Test machines while in-house, including; mechanical, electrical, pneumatics, and hydraulics
  • Assist in shipping / receiving of machines
  • Install, start-up, maintain, evaluate, repair and test machines and equipment in the field
  • Create and provide service reports and related documentation to management daily
  • Ability to assemble using hand tools
  • Perform operational tests, make final adjustments, and verify machines are produced within tolerance and contractual specifications
  • Train customers in machine/equipment operation and maintenance procedures
  • Perform on-site preventative maintenance inspection
  • Troubleshoot customer’s requests (via phone and on-site) concerning machinery/equipment operation and recommend solutions
  • Make efficiency/optimization recommendations as to equipment and processes
  • Read, understand, and apply documents such as: safety manuals, operating and maintenance instructions, diagrams, procedure manual
  • Maintain work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition
  • Assist with in-house assembly, including mechanical and electrical
  • Assist with in-house engineering (mechanical, electrical, and programming)
  • Other duties assigned by Management


  • Two year technical degree or relevant working experience
  • Willingness to travel 50-80% of the time domestically and internationally (China and Canada included) - Need to be able to acquire work permits/visas internationally
  • Strong knowledge of industrial automated machine installation
  • Strong knowledge of hydraulic & pneumatic controls andmechanical systems
  • Proficient with industrial electrical controls, drives and PLC logic ( Allan Bradley and / or Siemens)
  • Ability to read and interpret Blueprints, mechanical drawings, mechanical and electrical schematics, etc..
  • PLC troubleshooting


  • Engineering Degree
  • PLC Programming experience
  • Experience working with servos, motors, drives, etc..
