Job Title: Civil Engineer, Professional Engineer (PE)

Job Description

Seeking a Water/Wastewater Professional Engineer for municipal water/wastewater treatment process design at multiple levels of experience. The position involves conceptual and feasibility evaluations, preparation of design reports, development of contract documents, bidding assistance, and support of construction engineering services.

Responsibilities

• Design municipal water and wastewater treatment processes.
• Conduct feasibility evaluations and prepare design reports.
• Develop contract documents and assist with bidding.
• Support construction engineering services.
• Collaborate with clients and manage projects effectively.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to team development.

Essential Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or similar discipline; Master's or Ph.D. is a plus.
• Registered Professional Engineer in Indiana or ability to obtain reciprocity.
• Experience in water/wastewater engineering treatment process/plant design.
• Hydraulic engineering experience with pump stations, collection systems, and distribution systems.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience with GPS-X, Visual Hydraulics, and Civil 3D.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with civil consulting firms.
• Experience with treatment plant modeling software such as GPS-X and Visual Hydraulics.
• Proven work ethic and organizational skills.

Work Environment

The office environment is laid-back but can be deadline-intensive at times, promoting a strong team and family feel. Business casual attire is expected. Standard hours are 8-5 with flexibility to start as early as 7 AM or as late as 9 AM. There are opportunities for a flexible schedule, including a 9-hour workday Monday through Thursday and a 4-hour workday on Friday.
