CAD Drafter - Civil Site Development Projects - Fort Wayne, IN

We are actively hiring a CAD Drafter to join a Civil Site Development team in Fort Wayne, IN! This person will be responsible for drafting Construction Plan Sets for Site and Land Development projects for various clients in Indiana and Ohio. The majority of projects will be Private Development, such as Residential Subdivisions, Commercial and Retail Sites, Multi-Family Sites (apartments and condos), and Industrial Sites. This person will have the opportunity to work on a team of Engineers and Designers to produce the Construction Plans, while also printing out Plan Sets, delivering Plans to Engineers, and mailing out Plans.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with minimal AutoCAD experience to train and develop under experienced Engineers and Designers. The Civil Industry provides excellent career stability, and this person would have the chance to develop highly desirable and needed skills for that industry. Civil Site Drafting and Design is needed for every type of Civil project, and this is a great team that can provide consistency and development for this person.

Job Responsibilities:

• Support Engineers and Designers to produce Construction Plans for the client projects
• Use AutoCAD and Civil 3D to draft Civil Construction Plans and Specifications
• Provide support to Civil Engineers through printing, delivering, and mailing Plans Sets

Job Requirements:

• Professional Experience using AutoCAD - Must be proficient in AutoCAD without training
• Strong interest in Civil Drafting and Design, especially within Civil Site Development projects
• Ability to learn on-the-job, stay self-motivated, and work in a team environment
• Preferred but Not Required - Any experience in Civil or Survey Drafting, or Civil 3D software
