Job Description

Join our team as a Lab Technician, where you will be an integral part of the magnet wire testing laboratory. You will perform quality tests on magnet wire, assist in preparing enamels and lubricants, and ensure raw materials meet specifications. This role involves using chemical testing equipment and measuring instruments while adhering to quality management systems.

Responsibilities

  • Complete quality tests of magnet wire for various specifications and improvement proposals.
  • Conduct testing on quality assurance and experimental runs, action requests, and sample orders.
  • Assist in preparing magnet wire enamels, thinners, and lubricants.
  • Perform inspection and analysis of raw materials and chemical products.
  • Execute tests with attention to detail and follow detailed instructions.
  • Use chemical testing equipment and measuring instruments.
  • Collaborate with technicians, engineers, and management to solve and correct problems.
  • Utilize computer programs and quality systems effectively.
  • Maintain records and prepare reports or charts to report test results.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and co-workers.
  • Opportunity for non-degreed candidates to gain hands-on quality lab experience.
  • Skills gained in this role include ISO, QS, TS, GMP.

  • Experience across multiple groups/departments in engineering and sciences.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma required; Bachelor's degree in a scientific field preferred.
  • 1+ years of GMP experience.
  • 1+ years of experience within quality and quality control lab tech roles.
  • 1+ years of experience with basic laboratory techniques.
  • Written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of computers.
  • Knowledge of Quality Systems (ISO/QS/TS).
  • High attention to detail, organized, with above-average mechanical skills.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Franklin, IN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.40 - $21.65/hr.

Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job
