Civil Engineer

CIVIL ENGINEER – INDIANAPOLIS, IN

We are actively hiring a Civil Site Development Engineer to support projects taking place in Indianapolis, IN! The Site Team currently consists of 9 total people, all within Engineering and Drafting/Design, and primarily works on Industrial/Manufacturing, Commercial, and School projects. This team hired 3 people within the past year and is adding this role due to the amount of growth they continue to experience with their business.

Job Responsibilities:

• Civil Engineering Design: Site Layout, Grading and Drainage, Erosion Control, Stormwater Management, Hydrologic/Hydraulic Analysis, and Utility Design
• Work with Project Managers and staff on project: Schools, Office Buildings, Manufacturing Facilities, Parking Garages, and Multi-Family Housing
• Prepare Construction Documents (Engineering Drawings and Specifications, and Bid Documents)
• Prepare Hydraulic Calculations and Drainage Reports, including Calculations and Spreadsheets
• Provide Engineering Support during Construction and Write Technical Reports

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Landscape Architecture, or Related Discipline
• 2+ Years of Experience in Site Development, Stormwater, or Water/Wastewater Engineering
• Professional Experience using AutoCAD and/or Civil 3D
• Preferred but Not Required – Experience with Drainage Design and Hydraulics Calculations
• Preferred but Not Required – Passed FE or PE exam (Professional Engineer Career Track)

Miscellaneous:

• Will consider candidates who have done Site Layout, Grading, and Drainage on projects within other Civil Disciplines (i.e., Water/Wastewater, Transportation, Survey). 
• This is a very stable company with a wide variety of projects in the Industrial, Commercial, and Education sectors. This team supports both internal departments and external customers.

• Core Hours are Monday-Friday, 9am to 3pm EST. Employees have the ability to work flexible schedules around those Core Hours as needed.
