Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounting Assistant to support our accounting team with day-to-day operations, focusing on accounts payable and project invoicing. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with numbers, is highly organized, and thrives in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Enter and process accounts payable transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Assist in preparing monthly client invoices for various projects.
- Compile and organize backup documentation for INDOT project audits.
- Copy and prepare invoice documentation for monthly records, including LPA claims and vouchers.
- Support the accounting team with data entry, reconciliation, and other administrative tasks as needed.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Associate degree in Accounting or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an accounting or finance role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general accounting software.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Deltek Vision or other project-based accounting software.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Positive attitude, resourcefulness, and a willingness to learn and grow.
- Strong decision-making and leadership potential.
